This daily tour has two versions: the 11:00 AM tour, which includes the Big Changing of the Guards at noon, and the 3:00 PM tour, which features the Golden Lane when it opens for free. You also won’t need to worry about climbing the hill—we take a tram to the Prague Castle complex.

Both Prague Castle tours are otherwise the same and cover only FREE parts of the Prague Castle complex.

Please note that the precise itinerary depends on the season and the roadwork around the castle. Therefore, the first three stops listed above may vary.

  • We only accept people with active reservations!

  • This tour includes a short tram ride, so we ask that you arrive with a valid tram ticket. The cheapest one, costing 30 CZK, is more than sufficient, as we only ride the tram for 2–4 stops.

  • Please arrive 15 min before the start of the tour.

  • Latecomers (3 or more min.) might not be accepted if the group is full.

  • We are not able to provide guide’s phone number or live location in the case of your delay.

  • A free walking tour is a guided sightseeing tour where there’s no upfront cost to join. Instead of paying a fixed fee, you’re encouraged to tip your guide at the end based on how much you enjoyed the experience and what you feel it was worth.

  • Our guides accept Czech crowns in cash as well as card payments. They also accept euros and other currencies that can be exchanged in Prague (e.g., USD, pounds, etc.). Some guides also have PayPal, Revolut, and other forms of cashless payment available. Please note that Venmo does not operate in the Czech Republic.

  • This tour does not cover the interiors of Prague Castle, which are included in the main circuit of the ticket: St. Vitus Cathedral, Old Royal Palace, St. George’s Basilica, and Golden Lane Museums. If you want to visit those, check out our Complete Prague Castle tour.

  • Free tours are designed for individual travelers and small groups, so we require a prepayment to ensure your attendance, as larger groups are more likely to cancel or show up with fewer participants. This is a standard rule for most free tours in Prague. We charge 10 euros per adult and 5 euros per child, including a deposit that must be paid in advance.   • No. Unfortunately, such large groups require a private tour. Please check out or private tour selection here.

  • Due to the tram ride at the beginning of the tour, this tour is not fully accessible. Not all trams in Prague are wheelchair- or stroller-friendly, so if you decide to attend, please ensure that you are able to get your wheelchair or stroller on and off the tram, which has a few steps.

  • Please bear in mind that during the summer season, we visit the gardens of Prague Castle, which do not allow dogs. Sorry about that!
